Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with his counterpart, the Foreign Minister of The Gambia, Sering Modou Njie, on the margins of the high-level week of UNGA80, APA reports citing MFA press service.
Ministers underlined the promising potential of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and The Gambia—particularly within the UN, OIC, and NAM—and emphasized the need to further strengthen these ties to address common challenges and promote mutual interests.
The Ministers emphasized the importance of advancing new initiatives and collaborative mechanisms aimed at enhancing economic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and The Gambia.
During the meeting the Ministers signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad of the Republic of Gambia.”
