“There is significant progress in the process of negotiations on the peace agreement initiated by the Azerbaijan,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov during his phone conversation with Stephen Doughty, Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories, APA reports.
The Azerbaijani FM shared insights into Azerbaijan’s vision for achieving lasting peace in the region, detailing the practical steps the country is taking and the ongoing peace process with Armenia.
He pointed out that Armenia’s ongoing territorial claims, as enshrined in its constitution, remain a major obstacle to finalizing the agreement.
