On August 1, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received a delegation led by the head of Eastern Europe and South Caucasus Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Mehmet Samsar who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, MFA told APA.
During the meeting, issues arising from the existing alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, cooperation within multilateral formats, as well as regional and international security issues were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other party about the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

It was brought to attention that the challenges facing the peace process, including the ongoing claims against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country and the claims in the Constitution of Armenia, the steps that threaten regional stability by contributing to the militarization of Armenia by third countries, are still pending.
The meeting also discussed other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
