On April 1, 2025, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Mehdi Sanai, the advisor to the President of Islamic Republic of Iran on political issues, APA reports, citing Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
The meeting covered various aspects of the Azerbaijan-Iran bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda, as well as regional and international security issues.
The importance of mutual visits, contacts, and ongoing political dialogue in strengthening Azerbaijan-Iran relations was emphasized. It was noted that discussions on issues of mutual interest contribute to expanding cooperation.
The two officials also exchanged views on other topics of common concern.
