Jeyhun Bayramov has commented at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen, on differing statements from Armenia regarding the finalization of the peace agreement, APA reports.
The Minister stated that these statements are being closely monitored and notes are being taken:
"Azerbaijan demonstrated its goodwill through the historic Washington Summit. Our country is also taking unilateral steps so that everyone can see the real results of the peace process. However, there are issues within Armenia. We are observing the process. Armenian society must accept and understand that peace is an important issue both for them and for Azerbaijani society.
As a result, this is a process that serves the interests of both sides. Therefore, we are following these discussions.
Whenever amendments are made to the Constitution of Armenia, the Azerbaijani side will be ready to put the final point on the matter. However, we must wait for the outcome.
