On May 14, 2021, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker, the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
According to the Ministry, the sides exchanged views on the current situation in the region and tensions on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
They stressed the importance of resolving such tensions through diplomacy and negotiations.
Azerbaijani Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stressed that Azerbaijan is committed to resolving tensions in the region.
Mr. Bayramov has informed his interlocutor that the leadership of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sent to the region for several hours to resolve the tension on the border as soon as possible and talks were held with the other side.
