"The draft peace treaty with Armenia consists of 17 articles, 15 of which have already been agreed upon. Work is ongoing on the remaining 2 articles," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists, APA reports.

Jeyhun Bayramov stated that during the post-conflict period, Azerbaijan and Armenia have continued peace negotiations and exchanges on the text.

According to him, the draft peace agreement consists of 17 articles and a preamble: "Almost all of the text for the preamble and 15 articles has been fully agreed upon. However, there are still open questions regarding 2 articles. Work on these open questions is continuing in the recent period. Several rounds of negotiations have taken place, and text exchanges have been carried out. A fully agreed version has not yet been reached. The work is ongoing."

Jeyhun Bayramov noted that during the post-conflict period, Azerbaijan and Armenia have continued peace negotiations and exchanges on the text: "Negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on normalization have continued. At the same time, numerous meetings have been held on the peace agreement, and text exchanges have also continued. Despite the open questions, there has been noticeable progress."

The Foreign Minister also pointed out that Armenia's Constitution contains territorial claims against Azerbaijan: "Recently, the decision of the Armenian Constitutional Court has further complicated this issue. This is because the preamble of Armenia's Constitution refers to a document from the time when Armenia gained independence, and that document also includes territorial claims against Azerbaijan."
