Azerbaijan's Embassy in Syria has organized an iftar dinner for 1,000 orphaned children in the capital Damascus, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Syria told APA.
It was reported that the iftar dinners for 1,000 orphaned children (400+350+250) were organized in Damascus (twice) and in the Spena district of Damascus, which has been heavily damaged, on March 25-27 of this year with initiation of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Syrian Arab Republic, support of Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA), and organization of Syria's Women's Charitable Society.
"While delivering speech during this charity event, attended by representatives from the Syrian News Agency (SANA), Vatan newspaper, Syrian television, as well as Türkiye's TRT and Anadolu Agency, the Chairman of the Board of the Women's Charitable Society, Mrs. Maha Diyab, and the orphaned child Hibah Ramazan expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for this noble initiative in the holy month of Ramadan," the statement reads.
Over the course of three days, various entertainment programs were organized for the orphaned children at the iftar dinners, allowing them to experience unforgettable moments and a true festive atmosphere.
