The humanitarian aid sent by Azerbaijan to Iran has been delivered to its destination, APA’s Southern bureau reports.
The convoy of trucks that delivered the humanitarian aid to Iran has returned to Azerbaijan after passing through the Astara state border checkpoint.
Earlier today, following a phone conversation held on March 8 between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, humanitarian aid was sent to Iran to help meet the current needs of the neighboring and friendly Iranian people.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, the humanitarian aid delivered to Iran by vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations included 10 tons of flour, 6 tons of rice, 2.4 tons of sugar, more than 4 tons of water, nearly 600 kg of tea, and nearly 2 tons of medicines and medical supplies.
