An event on "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives of Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" was held in Baku with the joint organization of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, APA reports.
Bakhtiyor Mustafayev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan said that his country is extremely interested in the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in all fields at the government level.
Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of the Center for the Analysis of International Relations, noted that the relevant structures of both countries should work to further develop cooperation: "The partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan is developing on solid foundations. In particular, these relations have developed more closely in recent times. Among the reasons for this are the historical roots that unite us in terms of ethnicity, language, as well as history.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov expressed his satisfaction with the level of development of relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. He said that there is a wide potential for further strengthening of mutual relations.
Note that in recent years, an agreement has been reached between our states to further intensify the bilateral strategic dialogue.
The speakers emphasized that the efforts aimed at the further development of the relations between the two countries should be increased.
