Azerbaijan, Ukraine hold political consultations

On February 20, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleksandr Mischenko, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

During the meeting, current issues on the agenda of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the situation in the region, were discussed.

The sides emphasized the importance of the positions consistently demonstrated by both countries regarding the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of borders, as well as relations based on the fundamental principles of international law and mutual respect between the countries.

The Ukrainian side noted the high appreciation of Azerbaijan’s contribution to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Ukraine’s conflict-affected regions, as well as the humanitarian aid sent to the people of Ukraine.

During the meeting, an exchange of views on other regional and global issues of mutual interest was held.

On the same day, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The political consultations were led by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov from Azerbaijani side and Oleksandr Mischenko from Ukrainian side.
