Azerbaijan, UAE hold political consultations

On February 11, 2025, the third round of political consultations was held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.

According to the information, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Yalchin Rafiyev and UAE's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ms. Lana Zaki Nusseibeh led the consultations.

During the consultations, a broad exchange of views took place on the current status of bilateral political, economic, energy, and humanitarian relations, as well as the future development prospects.

The UAE side was informed about the post-conflict situation in the region and the peace process, as well as the ongoing reconstruction and restoration work in the liberated territories, the demining of these areas, and the return of Azerbaijani citizens to their homeland.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister visited the UAE's "TRENDS" Research and Advisory Center. Mohammed Salem Alsalmi, head of the center's research department, provided detailed information about the organization's activities. Issues of developing cooperation between the mentioned Center and relevant research centers in Azerbaijan were discussed.

In his meeting with the leaders and researchers of the Center, Yalchin Rafiyev discussed Azerbaijan's foreign policy, its position on regional and international processes, and the future development prospects of Azerbaijan-UAE cooperation.
