An event for World Environment Day was held in South Korea, Jeju Island, APA reports.
The Republic of Azerbaijan was represented at the event by a delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. The delegation also included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, as well as the Embassy of Azerbaijan in South Korea.
During the event, which is organized annually by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Azerbaijan was officially announced as the host country for World Environment Day in 2026.
