Azerbaijan to host OIC and CICA summits next year

Next year, Azerbaijan will host the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and will chair the organization for the next two years, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev said during a discussion on the topic "The Rise of the Global South and the West: Azerbaijan's Role, Cooperation, and New Opportunities for Development" at the expanded meeting of the International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.

The Deputy Minister noted that Azerbaijan will also host the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) next year: "As it can be seen, Azerbaijan's policy of emphasizing multilateralism is practically visible."
