In October this year, the chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States will pass from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, and the summit will be held under the slogan "Regional Peace and Security", said Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the first meeting of the heads of government and their deputies of the Organization of Turkic States in Bishkek, APA reports.
"The Summit to be held will take place under the slogan "Regional Peace and Security". This is not accidental, because the stability and security of our region form the basis of all our cooperation initiatives.
At a time when global and regional processes are intensifying, it is of particular importance for the Organization of Turkic States to speak from a unified position and make joint efforts. Our joint steps will serve to strengthen peace in our region, accelerate economic development, and the well-being of our peoples", - the Prime Minister noted.
Ali Asadov expressed his gratitude to Kyrgyzstan for its successful activities during the chairmanship: "The initiatives implemented during the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan have strengthened our cooperation and created a solid foundation for our future activities. In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Adilbek Kasymaliyev, for his initiative to hold the meeting in today's format. I am confident that the chairmanship of Azerbaijan will also serve to further strengthen our organization, deepen our cooperation, and achieve new successes."
