On December 19, 2024, the 49th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) was held online, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA.
Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev participated in the meeting and delivered a speech on behalf of Azerbaijan.
In his speech, Yalchin Rafiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan, as a founding member of BSEC, has consistently contributed to strengthening cooperation based on mutual interests within the organization underscored Azerbaijan's support for the need to transform BSEC into a more result-oriented and practical cooperation platform.
At the conclusion of the event, along with adopting the protocol of the current meeting and several important decisions, the Republic of Azerbaijan was handed the chairmanship of BSEC for the first half of 2025.
