The delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chief Negotiator of COP29 Yalçın Rafiyev participated in the event titled "Türkiye's Path to COP31: Sustainable Cities" held in the Turkish city of Hatay, APA reports citing press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was noted that panel discussions, a high-level session and a ministerial roundtable were held within the framework of the event.
Y. Rafiyev stated that the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), to be held in Baku on May 17-22, will make a significant contribution to the global urban planning agenda, and stressed the importance of a coordinated approach between the COP31 and WUF processes, noting that Azerbaijan is ready to work closely with the Turkish COP31 presidency in this direction.
