Azerbaijan, Spain hold I session of Strategic Economic Dialogue

Today, Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov met with Maria Amparo Lopes Senovilla, the State Secretary for Trade of the Ministry of Economy, Commerce, and Business of the Kingdom of Spain, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

During the meeting, the importance of holding the first session of the Strategic Economic Dialogue between the two countries in Baku was emphasized.

It was also expressed that the signing of the the "Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Economic Cooperation" between Azerbaijan-Spain Business Forum and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy and Spain's Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business would contribute to strengthening economic relations.

Samir Sharifov noted the importance of the meeting between President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Pedro Sanchez, the Head of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain, held within the framework of COP29 last November, in terms of expanding bilateral relations and identifying new areas of cooperation.
