"The government's "Great Return" policy envisages a future reduction of 936 settlements in Garabagh to 316," Chairman of the Milli Majlis Human Rights Committee Zahid Oruj said at today's session, APA reports.

According to him, the Japanese and Germans also followed a similar path: "Because it's impossible to build Garabagh with budget funds alone. Import of the machinery and equipment, raw materials, and materials were exempted from VAT for 10 years from January 1, 2023. This is a positive step. At the same time, if we apply a "zero tax" policy in liberated territories to create the recycling industry and service infrastructure, and connect it to the economic system, we open the way for domestic and foreign investment. The government might create special rules, call on the citizens who want to return to liberated lands and are non-displaced, and meet their expenses in exchange for permission for the plans of the company that wants to build 100 houses in a village under transparent conditions, and the burden of the state will be shared."

The MP said that last year the Organization of Turkic States strengthened its international position, and this is encouraging: “But if the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Turkic geography with a population of 156 million, a GDP of $1.3 trillion, builds schools on liberated lands, becomes part of the Marshall Plan "The government should turn to the US and the EU for help in eliminating the consequences of the occupation. The government can openly appeal to the US and the European Union to help us eliminate the consequences of the occupation."
