In accordance with the relevant instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on 30 December, our country sent a humanitarian aid convoy consisting of various food and grocery products from Baku in 10 trucks to support the elimination of the humanitarian problems faced by the Syrian people, APA reports citing MFA press service.
The humanitarian aid of nearly 200 tons, is planned to be transported through the territories of Georgia and Türkiye and delivered to the “Chobanbey” crossing point on the Turkish-Syrian border.
The aid is planned to be distributed to proper addresses in Idlib city of the Syrian Arab Republic with the support of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) of Türkiye.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the ceremony to send off the aid convoy.
