Azerbaijan has prepared itself for possible tense scenarios against neighboring states where sanctions are imposed, said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration during the panel "The Middle Corridor: A New Geopolitical and Economic Lifeline?" held within the framework of the "GLOBSEC Forum 2025" in Prague, APA reports.
He noted that on one side there is the Russia-Ukraine war, and on the other side there is the Israeli-Iranian military confrontation:
"We assumed that this would happen. That is why we were ready for possible scenarios that could be directed towards neighboring countries, including new tsunamis that could be directed from the Middle East."
