Azerbaijan PM meets Ukrainian First Deputy PM Denys Shmyhal in Baku

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met today with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the Cabinet of Ministers told the APA.

The meeting highlighted the importance of the events held as part of Baku Energy Week. It was noted that Baku has once again become one of the key centers of global energy dialogue, and that the platform makes a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation on energy security, green transition, and sustainable development.

The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine and discussed opportunities for expanding ties in the fields of economy, trade, energy, humanitarian affairs, and other areas of mutual interest.

During the conversation, the importance of Azerbaijan's humanitarian support to Ukraine was emphasized, and gratitude was expressed for the humanitarian aid sent by Azerbaijan to the Ukrainian people and for the country's contribution to the restoration of civilian infrastructure.
