Azerbaijan, Iran hold meeting on water resources of Araz River

In Baku, the 54th meeting of the Permanent Joint Commission on the Use of Water and Energy Resources of the Aras River was held with the participation of representatives of Azerbaijan and Iran, APA reports citing ISNA.

According to the information, at the meeting, the parties discussing the provisions of previous documents, the volume of resources at border and joint dams, and the water demand of both sides of the border this year made the necessary plans and agreements for the optimal use of the Aras River’s water resources.

It was noted that the decisions adopted at the meeting will be included in the implementation agenda of the two countries.
