“The European Union respects the decisions of all its partners regarding which associations or organizations they belong to including Armenia,” said Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia during his speech at “Peace, Development, and Connectivity in the South Caucasus” panel hosted within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2024, APA's correspondent assigned to Antalya reports.

“Armenia made a decision of joining the Eurasian Economic Union and of course, we have established our cooperation taking into account the reality.

Georgia has a different relationship with the EU, this country is interested in closer integration and is a candidate country for EU membership. Azerbaijan has its own agenda and interests in relations with the EU. We respect the sovereign decisions of all states in relation to cooperation,”
