"Few countries in the world organize a conference on such an important topic on their own initiative," Director of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences of Paris Noureddine Belhout said as he delivered a speech during the panel discussion on "Anti-Islamic Policy in France: Normalization of Islamophobia" whithin the framework of the Baku-hosted international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”, APA reports.
He thanked Azerbaijan for the organization of the conference: "Azerbaijan itself has also suffered from the consequences of Islamophobia. Despite being a secular, secular country, it has been discriminated against as a Muslim country. Some countries have took the position of Armenia in the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict, because Armenia is a Christian country."
