The next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Germany was held in Baku on April 10, 2026, Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the German delegation was headed by Niklas Wagner, Commissioner for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
Within the consultations, the current state of political relations on bilateral cooperation was reviewed, and the importance of mutual visits and meetings within international events for maintaining continuous political dialogue was emphasized. In addition, the current state and prospects for cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, transport, and humanitarian issues were discussed.
