The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed condolences for the victims of the earthquake in Afghanistan, MFA posted on X account, APA reports.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of the devastating earthquake in Afghanistan. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to all those injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Afghanistan during this difficult time," the post reads.
Note that a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Jalalabad, the central district of Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, today. 622 people died and more than 1,500 were injured as a result of the earthquake.
