On August 31, a delegation led by Ying Yong, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China, arrived in Azerbaijan on a working visit, the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
First, the delegation laid a wreath at the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor. The delegation also visited the graves of prominent ophthalmologist and scientist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, renowned statesman Aziz Aliyev, and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev.
Later, the guests paid tribute at the Alley of Martyrs to those who were martyred for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held between Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China Ying Yong on the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two countries.
Following the meeting, the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China” was signed with the aim of identifying new areas of legal cooperation between the two institutions, expanding the exchange of experience and information, strengthening cooperation in combating transnational crime, as well as further strengthening institutional ties between the prosecution authorities.
In addition, in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of cooperation between the prosecution authorities of Azerbaijan and China and the strengthening of bilateral relations, Ying Yong was presented with the jubilee medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan “100th Anniversary of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor’s Office (1918–2018).”

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China, APA reports.
The memorandum was signed by Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev and Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China Ying Yong.
