Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Trade-Economic Cooperation Commission held 10th meeting

On April 16, the 10th meeting of the Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Trade-Economic Cooperation Commission was held in Baku, Press Service of the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

The meeting was chaired by Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Co-chairman of the Commission, and Lin Li Chenggang , Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and China's international trade representative.

Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev stated while opening the meeting that the negotiations held within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission serve as an important platform for discussing the implementation of the tasks given by the heads of states, as well as determining the future prospects for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and China.

It was noted that last year, the elevation of relations between Azerbaijan and China to the level of strategic partnership was a historic event. The Joint Declaration signed by the heads of states lays a solid foundation for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to China, the signing of an Agreement on mutual visa-free travel is expected. This will give a significant boost to contacts between both countries and will help increase the number of mutual visits.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a Joint Investment Cooperation Working Group and the Protocol of the 10th meeting of the zerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Trade-Economic Cooperation Commission were signed.
