"Azerbaijan and Belarus have identified key directions for economic cooperation," said Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov during a high-level meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Turchin in Baku, APA reports.

“We attach special importance to the comprehensive development of mutually beneficial partnership with Belarus. Our cooperation is progressing steadily across various sectors. In 2024, bilateral trade increased by 42%, reaching $506 million. We focus on diversifying trade and boosting investments. The joint business forum during your visit will serve this goal. Several agreements on joint projects in different sectors are expected to be signed. The presidents have issued instructions to develop concrete projects, some of which are already in progress. Industrial cooperation remains a key focus, especially the collaboration between Ganja Automobile Plant and Belarusian machinery enterprises. The joint elevator assembly plant has been successfully implemented. We are also strengthening our partnership in agriculture, with strong demand for Belarusian products in the Azerbaijani market.

Azerbaijani producers are also expanding into the Belarusian market. There is significant potential to increase the mutual supply of agricultural goods, and we are ready to work in that direction,” the Prime Minister noted.
