Azerbaijan awards 100 recipients of 2025–2026 Heydar Aliyev International Education grants

According to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 8, 2023, the selection process of candidates for the 2025–2026 academic year under the “Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant” program, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education, has been completed, MFA told APA.

Out of hundreds of applicants from 64 countries, 100 candidates from 51 countries have been awarded education grants under the program.

The selected candidates will study at various educational levels in nine higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, mainly including ADA University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Baku State University, Baku Higher Oil School, Baku Engineering University, Nakhchivan State University, National Aviation Academy, and Khazar University.

It was noted that, according to the program, over a period of five years, citizens of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, countries belonging to the group of Small Island Developing States, and countries with ethnic, historical, and cultural ties to the Azerbaijani people, as well as national minorities living in those countries, will be able to study at different levels in Azerbaijani higher education institutions.

According to the terms of the program, it is planned to allocate 100 education grants annually, totaling 500 grants for foreign citizens.
