A telephone conversation took place today between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, the MFA told APA.
The ministers discussed the current state and prospects of the strategic allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that the high-level political dialogue established between the heads of state has made a significant contribution to the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation across all areas.
The ministers exchanged views on opportunities for further expanding cooperation in the political, economic, trade, transport and communications, energy, investment, humanitarian and other fields.
The parties also expressed satisfaction with the mutual support and effective cooperation within international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other multilateral platforms, stressing the importance of continuing coordination in this direction.
During the phone conversation, the sides also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
