On April 15, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov met with Rebecca Neff, Senior Advisor at the US Department of State’s Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, and representatives of the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), the MFA told APA.
During the meeting, issues arising from the implementation of the Strategic Partnership Charter between the two countries, including cooperation in energy and trade, regional connectivity, and economic investment, were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on potential projects in transportation, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and other areas, as well as ongoing work in these directions and the involvement of private sector representatives.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan’s important role in the region’s energy security, diversification of trade routes within the Middle Corridor, as well as the favorable business and investment environment in Azerbaijan, and opportunities for establishing new connections were reviewed.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other bilateral issues of mutual interest.
