The volume of petroleum products to be supplied between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will be determined in the near future, Kyrgyz Energy Minister Altınbek Rysbekov said while speaking to journalists, APA's correspondent dispatched to Kyrgyzstan reports.

"Today, the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Supply of Petroleum Products between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed. This memorandum will create broad opportunities for close cooperation and the further development of bilateral relations. A preliminary agreement has already been reached on cooperation in the field of petroleum products. The main task now is to determine the areas and mechanisms through which this cooperation will continue. At the same time, our cooperation also covers the electricity sector, that is, the energy sector as a whole. We have signed roadmaps in this area as well, and there is mutual goodwill between the parties to expand cooperation," Altınbek Rysbekov said.

The Kyrgyz Energy Minister noted that preliminary discussions on specific volumes are currently underway.

"The parties have already expressed their mutual intentions. I believe that the specific volumes and supply mechanisms will be determined in the near future. All mechanisms will be worked out in detail in the coming days. This is an instruction from both presidents. I believe that within approximately one week, a concrete roadmap will be prepared and the supply mechanism will be fully determined. This concerns all types of petroleum products, as well as crude oil. At the same time, our cooperation in the energy sector is also envisaged," he added.
