Azerbaijan and Kuwait FMs express serious concern over military clashes

On March 2, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Azerbaijan MFA told APA.

According to the Ministry, the sides discussed the rising tensions in the region during the call.

The ministers expressed serious concern over the ongoing military clashes and stressed that the situation poses significant risks to regional security and stability.

The importance of reducing tensions was emphasized, and attention was drawn to the need to strengthen diplomatic initiatives to return to the negotiation process.

The ministers underlined the necessity of complying with the norms and principles of international humanitarian law and ensuring the protection of civilians and infrastructure.

During the phone call, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
