Azerbaijan and Japan hold political consultations

On October 2, the next political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Japan in Baku, the Foreign Ministry told APA.

The delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov from the Azerbaijani side, and by Masaki Ishikawa, Deputy Director General of the European Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Special Representative for Central Asia, the Caucasus and GUAM, from the Japanese side.

During the political consultations, views were exchanged on cooperation in political, economic, investment, trade, education, culture, humanitarian, energy, ecology, climate, tourism, and other areas.

The discussion highlighted various areas of bilateral relations, the importance of mutual understanding in international and regional matters, and the necessity of continued cooperation within international organizations.

Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov provided detailed information on Azerbaijan’s peace agenda, the normalization process with Armenia, reconstruction and development work in the liberated territories, and ongoing investment projects.
