On March 5, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar called the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, APA reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the phone conversation the sides exchanged views on the growing security risks in the region, particularly military tensions and their impact on regional stability.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart about the drone attacks carried out on March 5 by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was noted that this step contradicts the sovereignty of our country and the norms and principles of international law.
The Israeli side condemned this attack, described it as unacceptable, and expressed solidarity with our country.

A phone conversation took place between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Israel, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said in an X post, APA reports.
"I spoke with my friend, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. I condemned Iran’s open and deliberate aggression against Azerbaijan. This aggression against it and other countries in the region is completely unacceptable and once again proves that the Iranian regime is reckless and out of control. Israel is determined to continue the military operation until its objectives are achieved," Saar noted.
