The people of Azerbaijan and Iran are friendly and brotherly nations, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said in a post on X.
Bayramov made the statement in response to remarks by Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who had expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government and people for humanitarian assistance, as well as for facilitating the delivery of aid from other countries.
Araghchi emphasized that the support shown during difficult times is rooted in the shared cultural ties that unite the peoples of Iran and Azerbaijan.
Bayramov noted that the sincere words and appreciation expressed by his Iranian counterpart are highly valued, adding that they reflect the foundation of mutual respect and historical ties between the two countries.
“We wish Iran peace and stability as soon as possible,” Bayramov stated.
