Azerbaijan and China to cooperate to reduce carbon emissions

Azerbaijan and China are friends, and we will cooperate in reducing carbon emissions within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, Professor Li RenYing, Deputy Secretary-General of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, said during his speech at the founding conference of the Global South NGO Platform, APA reports.

"We must unite our efforts to combat global climate change. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement and the 80th anniversary of the United Nations. We must cooperate for green and carbon-free development, developed countries should support developing countries, and states should prepare sustainable development strategies. China has provided financial assistance to developing countries this year. We are ready to share our knowledge and experiences. China is working to fulfill its commitments regarding climate change, RenYing said.
