Azerbaijan and Armenia confirm importance of opening communication, it was stated in the Joint Declaration on the results of the meeting of the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia in Washington, USA, APA reports.

The document emphasizes that the opening of communications is of great importance for the promotion of peace, stability and prosperity in the region and its neighborhood, based on respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction of states, to ensure domestic, bilateral and international transport between the two countries.

This initiative envisages unhindered communication between the main part of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and mutual benefits for Armenia in international and domestic connections.
