Azerbaijan–Algeria cooperation agenda discussed

Within the framework of ADF 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Bayramov Jeyhun, met with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf, the MFA said on its X account, APA reports.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijan-Algeria bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda was discussed.

The establishment of a Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was highlighted as a key step in advancing bilateral ties.

Cooperation and mutual support within UN, OIC, NAM, and other international organizations were discussed, including in the context of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of CICA and hosting of the OIC Summit next year.

The importance of de-escalation in the Middle East, strengthening the ceasefire, and resolving conflicts through diplomatic means were underlined.
