Azerbaijan actively preparing to host cultural and sports events within CIS framework - PM says

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov spoke about the restoration work carried out in the liberated city of Lachin at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government held in Moscow, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

Ali Asadov said in his speech that important cultural and sports events are planned to be held within the CIS in 2025 and that active preparations are underway in Azerbaijan for these events. He underlined that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation within the framework of the "Commonwealth Capitals of Culture" intergovernmental program.

More than 2,000 people have already returned to the city of Lachin within the framework of the "Great Return" program, and Lachin International Airport is scheduled to be commissioned next year.
