If Armenia wants peace in the region, it must closely cooperate with the ongoing court process in Baku, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev told journalists, APA reports.
According to Hikmet Hajiyev, territorial claims against Azerbaijan in Armenia's constitution should be amended.
The president's assistant recalled the experience in this regard and added that Ireland had committed to amending its constitution and making Great Britain to recognize the full sovereignty of Northern Ireland.
He noted that the damage caused by Armenia to Azerbaijan has also been assessed: "This is also a condition for ensuring comprehensive peace in the region. There is no need for the Minsk Group today. If anyone wants to revive the Minsk Group, it is an utopia. Armenia is trying to maintain the Minsk Group. Once such issues, especially those related to Armenia's Constitution, are resolved, better conditions will be created for the peace agenda in the region."
