"Azerbaijani delegation's non-attendance the meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is not related to the events related to Russia," Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, told journalists at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, APA's correspondent sent to Shusha reports.
Hikmet Hajiyev noted that the event was held with the participation of the CIS countries: "The Azerbaijani side does not link the Aktau incident and other issues with this. There may be various reasons for the Azerbaijani delegation's non- participation in the meeting of the CIS Economic Council held in Moscow on July 18. Changes in the personal agenda of those who will participate in the meeting, as well as the influence of other factors on this issue, are not excluded."
