"Currently, the issue of compensation payment from Armenia to Azerbaijan is not a subject of Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations," said Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, in an interview with the German publication Berliner Zeitung, APA reports.

He also revealed that the Azerbaijani side has conducted an appropriate assessment of the damage inflicted on the country: "This is a matter of state responsibility. For 30 years, Armenia has grossly violated international humanitarian law, used force against Azerbaijan, occupied Azerbaijani territories, and refused to comply with the requirements of UN Security Council resolutions. During the occupation period, Armenia completely destroyed Azerbaijan’s cities and villages. After the liberation of our territories, a comprehensive damage assessment was carried out by us based on the UN methodology. According to this assessment, the damage caused to our country amounts to nearly 150 billion US dollars."
