Assembly President: North Macedonia sees the development of PABSEC as fundamental

Currently, there are major crises in multilateral cooperation, therefore we are required to strengthen economic cooperation, said Afrim Gashi, President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, at the 65th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Co-operation (PABSEC) held in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.

Afrim Gashi said that political dialogue is the only way to create a prosperous future: “North Macedonia, committed to the principles of European integration, sees the development of PABSEC as fundamental. Great work has been done in PABSEC in the fight against poverty and in cultural relations. At a time when political polarization is increasing, we must deeply understand the desires of citizens. The world is changing very rapidly, and citizens expect development from us based on values. Without economic development, peace, respect, and equality are not possible.”
