“Opening economic and transport communications in the region will increase Armenia’s trade turnover with member countries to Eurasian Economic Union,” said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

According to Pashinyan, Armenia communicates with other countries of the Union through the only land route through Georgia.

“It is clear that opportunities are limited and opening highways and railway routes passing through Azerbaijan, will significantly increase the volume of trade turnover between Armenia and the Eurasian Economic Union,” noted Armenian PM.
