"Armenia intends to advance the process of institutionalizing peace with Azerbaijan and normalizing relations with Türkiye," this is stated in the Armenian Government’s Action Program for 2026–2031, Armenpress reports.
"To institutionalize and strengthen peace, the government will continue work toward signing and ratifying the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, continuing the delimitation and demarcation of the state border with Azerbaijan, and increasing contacts between Armenian and Azerbaijani civil societies and business communities, as well as bilateral trade.
Work will be carried out toward establishing Armenia-Türkiye diplomatic relations, opening the Armenia-Türkiye border and operating at least 2 modern border crossing points, restarting and expanding transport, energy and digital infrastructure, and promoting bilateral and multilateral trade," the document reads.
