Analyzing of "black boxes" of crashed AZAL plane kicks off

The analysis of the "black boxes" of the Brazilian-made "Azerbaijan Airlines" Embraer 190 aircraft that crashed in Aktau, Kazakhstan on December 25 has commenced, APA reports citing Brazilian media.

The analysis of the "boxes" is being conducted by specialists from the Brazilian Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents (CENIPA).

Reported that the "black boxes" contain significant information and voice recordings that are important for determining the cause of the incident. 

Noted that on December 25, the "Azerbaijan Airlines" Embraer 190 aircraft, which was performing the Baku-Grozny flight number J2-8243, crashed near Aktau due to the need for an emergency landing.

There were 67 people on board, including 5 crew members and 62 passengers. As a result of the accident, 38 people lost their lives lost, 29 people survived. Of the survivors, 14 are citizens of Azerbaijan, 10 are Russian, and 2 are citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
