“Today is a very important day for Pakistan, one that unites the Pakistani people. On March 23, we gained sovereignty, and we commemorate this day with great respect every year,” said Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin at an event dedicated to Pakistan Day held in Baku, APA reports.
The ambassador noted that Pakistan will continue its fight against terrorism with determination and that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure the country’s security.
He also touched upon the Kashmir issue, stating that people living in the region continue to suffer from human rights violations, and called on the international community to show solidarity on this matter.
The diplomat expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for supporting Pakistan on all international platforms regarding the Kashmir issue.
